Our Love Story
Our relationship is founded on friendship and a shared interest in experiencing life together.
It was in the summer of 2017 when Steven visited Dili for the summer holidays, and Clarisse had returned home earlier in the year from her studies. Both were filled with excitement and a plethora of energy to travel and discover their beautiful island home – and from these adventurous trips that romance grew. The two have been inseparable since, and many memories were made.
When summer came to end, Steven had to return to Lisbon, where he was finishing his engineering degree; however, to Clarisse’s surprise, he had already bought her a ticket to go spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve with him in London. Indeed, their trip to London was magical. From then, their relationship flourished. Steven flew back to Dili to spend their first Valentine’s Day together, and they travelled to the United States to celebrate Steven’s birthday. They were young, filled with enthusiasm and hunger to taste the beauty of life.
In September of 2018, the young couple found out they were pregnant. Emotions were running high, and love filled the air, but they were scared to face the new reality of becoming parents and raising a child. They knew they needed their family to be united to support them, so on the 18th of January 2019, they got engaged, and the two families became one big support system. It was on the 26th of June 2019, at 3:17pm, in the operating room of Parramatta Hospital, Sydney, that changed their lives forever. They welcomed their first child, a healthy and happy baby boy, named Tom Nale Trindade Sales Luis. More than a year a half later, they were once again blessed with twin boys, Castor Geo Trindade Sales Luis and Pollux Geo Trindade Sales Luis, born on the 26th of March 2021, at 11:15 and 11:17am, at HNGV. These were the best moments of their lives.
Their children shaped their relationship. They were the fountain of happiness, the source of comfort in times of difficulty, a great teacher of patience and care, a daily reminder of gratitude and courage. Now, they have reached a new height of commitment, a promise that is blessed by Almighty Father, Mother Mary and Jesus Christ. This beautiful union will receive the blessing on the 7th of July, 2025, in Lake Como, Italy, and they are honoured to be sharing this memorable day with you.
